It’s a difficult choice for those looking to find that perfect retreat to make your fitness holiday the best possible experience for you. We’ve all been there, searching through the internet, looking at each venue, the location, the accommodation, the reviews and of course the food. However, don’t forget to research the staff that are going to be hosting your fitness experience, a very important factor that most may overlook. Are the instructors fully qualified and insured? Would it be rude to ask to see proof of their qualifications? Not at all! Don’t just assume that because a company is advertising classes in certain disciplines that they are qualified to teach in this subject, don’t be afraid to ask, you are the customer.

What about the location and accommodation? Obviously you may have a location in mind, somewhere you have been before? Somewhere that has been recommended to you? Do a little research and make sure the location is suitable for you, is it easy enough to get to from the airport? Is the accommodation of a good standard? We research and visit our venues to make sure they are of the highest quality and located in a suitable area which is easily accessible.

Finally the food, this is also such an important part of a fully inclusive fitness retreat.  What about the credentials of the chef? Are there sample menus? At the fitness retreats we use our own chef from the UK, he is a highly experienced chef who has worked in the industry for over 25 years, working in some of the best restaurants in Edinburgh.  He is passionate about his work and loves to put together some sample menus for people to view prior to attending retreats.
