About us

The Fitness Retreats is a family run business and was developed by The Fitness Education Academy who are Scotland’s longest established fitness training provider and winner’s of the national fitness awards 2022. The Fitness Education Academy was established in 2008 by Annalisa Buchanan and later joined by her daughter Georgia Torrance. They currently deliver fitness qualifications throughout Scotland and some areas in England with a team of approximately 18 tutors, assessors and instructors. After Annalisa moved to Manilva, Spain to live in 2020 they decided to expand the business, making use of their highly qualified staff and launch ‘The Fitness Retreats’.

Our retreat is located in an area of outstanding beauty in Tarifa, Spain. We have taken the time to hand pick a beautiful venue and will also be joined by Georgia’s brother Paul Torrance who is an outstanding chef from Edinburgh, Scotland who will be there to provide some amazing food. Our instructors are not only there to provide you with a wide range of activities, but also to educate you in fitness, nutrition, breath work and relaxation, to allow you to appreciate this outstanding luxury fitness experience.
